On the cash flow statement, the cash flows from financing activities section reports the changes in cash position related to the owners’ equity. This includes capital contributed or distributions made from equity to the owners or outside investors of the company including dividends.
This section also includes any debt your company may issue. By debt I mean bonds or notes that are backed by the equity of the company.
