Last month, I co-lead a session at the Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA) Construction Conference entitled "A CFOs Perspective: How Things Really Work". This session was created to teach practicing CPAs how the typical construction company actually operates and how this knowledge can be used to help the CPA better serve their clients.
One of the topics we covered was accounting/financial personnel. I felt that this would also make a good series for this blog, because accounting personnel are generally the same across most small businesses.
Over the next few days, I will describe in detail the following:
- Administrative Assistant and Clerks
- Bookkeepers
- Controllers
- Chief Financial Officers (CFOs)
